Warranty and Product Information

Wire Wombat is a distributor. The wire and cable we sell carry the manufacturer's warranty, where one is offered, and we pass it through to you. We give no warranty of our own. This page explains what that means, how product information on the Site is stated, and what you are responsible for.

Wire Wombat is a brand of Groundworks Supply LLC, which operates wirewombat.com and is the seller of record for every order. Groundworks Supply LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801. Email sales@wirewombat.com, phone (509) 303-4726.

1.Manufacturer warranties

Each product is covered by its manufacturer's warranty, on the manufacturer's terms, for the period and the defects the manufacturer states. Where a product page names the manufacturer, its warranty terms are on the manufacturer's site. If you believe a product is defective, email us with the order number, the product and photos, and we help you make the claim with the manufacturer or the supplier. The remedy is the manufacturer's, which for wire means replacement of the defective product and not the cost of removing or reinstalling it.

2.What Wire Wombat promises

Our own undertaking is the one in Returns and Refunds: a product that arrives short, wrong or damaged is replaced or refunded when you report it within 7 days of delivery. Beyond that, and beyond the manufacturer's warranty, we make no promise about a product.

3.Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, products are sold as is and with all faults, and Wire Wombat disclaims every warranty not expressly stated on this page, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade. No employee or rep may give a warranty on our behalf. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so part of this section may not apply to you.

4.Product information and specifications

Specifications, UL and other listings, temperature ratings, ampacities and dimensions on the Site are given as the manufacturer states them for the product we ship, and may change when the manufacturer changes them. Where a supplier may substitute an equivalent manufacturer, the product page says so. Photographs and renderings are representative of a product family, not of a specific reel; the colors on screen are a guide.

The ampacity figures, voltage drop values and calculators on the Site are taken from the published tables of the National Electrical Code and are provided for information. They are not a substitute for the current code, for the derating factors that apply to your installation, or for the judgment of a qualified person.

5.Code compliance and suitability

You are responsible for choosing a product that is suitable for your application and for installing it correctly. Nothing on the Site is a determination that a product meets the National Electrical Code, a state or local code, a utility's requirements or the specification of your project. Check with the authority having jurisdiction or a licensed electrician before you order, and have electrical work done by a qualified person.

6.Limitation of remedies

Your sole remedies for a defective, short, wrong or damaged product are those in this policy and in Returns and Refunds. Our liability is limited as set out in section 11 of the Terms of Sale and Use.
